ANNOUNCEMENTS
The class on 02.11.2009 will start at 14:00 as per regular schedule. We will have a presentation from Ana. Xiaojun will act as Scribe and Rakel as an opponent, as agreed earlier. SEE YOU ALL AT 14:00. Please note that it is obligatory to attend each seminar, except prior information has been sent for absence (with reason)
The class on 19.10.2009 will start at 14:00 as per regular schedule. We will have only one presentation, that is, from Ismo. We were planning to start at 13:30 but there is no need to start earlier now as Rakel will not be presenting on 19th. SEE YOU ALL AT 14:00
We will have Ismo's presentation starting at 13:30 and finishing by 14:45. From 14:45 to 15:45, we will have a presentation from Lavi Rakel. Ismo and Rakel, Please confirm if you can do it in the proposed time? .

Description
This is a seminar-style course based on the literature study on timely and relevant topics in software business. Topic and plan need to be approved in advance. The course will raise discussion for students interested in issures related to business of software. It is relevant to students who plan to work for a software company or a company with extensive use of software and to those who have entrepenurial interest software technology area.

- Introduction to course, Software Business as a subject and SWBC community portal
- Seminar paper due date was agreed at 23rd Novmeber 2009
- As mentioned in earlier email, the first session was utilised to accomodate and plan new schedule for the seminar presentations.
- Discussion on seminar paper practicalities, choosing topic
- Grading weightage (for seminar paper, presentation and attendance) needs to be clarified by Sep 12
- Group work was done and the following schedule emerged from it.

Q. Is there a minimum or maximum requirement for the words we write on the final paper?
Q. What will be the grading weightage in the course?
A. Grading is from 1(lowest) to 5 (highest). The proportion is as follows:
50% for seminar paper
30% for seminar presentation
20% for clasroom discussion
Q. Will I be registered for the course if I am joining today (7th Sep)?
